like btn of Facebook could be great help

not just independent now, connecting always.

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Launching its universal "like" button, Facebook extended its tentacles across the internet today, setting up pipes to gather user data from anywhere on the web. And now that users can add what topics, products or content they like to their Facebook profiles, the social-networking site is sitting on a data treasure chest.

Facebook is already widely and globally known as huge SNS, seems people in here start using it finally due to arriving and permeation of smart phones, shifting from high functional Japanese phones. (still carrying 70% share of it yet though)
Besides this, what I'm pointing out is this new "like" plugin gives you great help for reviewing of each products while you are online shopping.

As you see on top video, easily figuring out how it connects and more socialized with people you are dealing currently.
Not also even evaluating what you like by clicking a button, you are able to see your friend's favorites lists he/she created.
This totally rocks to me, what if it is not just your friend, created by one of famous celebrities? becoming more serious about purchasing for you? Once spreading here, it'll be interesting and mobile based online shopping will be exploding for sure.

Jesus Kit Kat viral marketing

great observation, but a little risky?

kit-kat.jpg
As you see a picture above, inside of wafer Kit Kat, try recognize what it's showing.
It looks like transformer cartoon or someone disguising as Santa Claus doesn't fit the costume every winter season, but it actually shows the face of Jesus, not even your uncle.

No doubt, it shouldn't be a real. This viral marketing was created by ad agency, UbachsWisbrun/JWT, in June 2009.
After launching, it's spread the rumor so quickly and many talked, blogged about it.

To me, it is a little risky but nicely created way of buzz marketing.
Here is a viral movie below.

Overnight Transformation of Gap Store

uniqueness always helps something

gap.jpg

Quite interesting promotion in GAP of Robson St in Vancouver was started in November 2009.

Point of promotion
In order to promote the launch of its Sprize rewards program, mannequins and the Gap store logo were upside down, and even hired performers to walk on their hands outside the Robson Street location. This transformation took overnight.

Sprize rewards program is:
Currently open to residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) with the pilot program having recently been launched in Vancouver, British Columbia at 10 Vancouver area Gap stores. Shoppers can sign up for a free Sprize account at participating Gap stores for an opportunity to collect SprizeMoney. SprizeMoney is automatically accrued in a customer's account when a product they bought goes on sale within 45 days of the original purchase. The account is credited the difference between the price paid and the best sale price.

Interesting point of the promotion as additional is how attract people, making them think different from before transforming stereotyping of GAP shops into better and astonishing way.

Mobile campaign AR

Another way of AR campaign idea

fits.jpg

LOTTE Fits recently released mobile campaign with AR (Augmented Reality).  Since famous Japanese talents are promoting, this is gradually known as one of the popular flavor gum in Japan.
This is another promotion since user oriented campaign of dance contest on YouTube was successfully done,
it provides an mobile app of famous Japanese talent dancing on your mobile phone based on what you control on mobile key pad with recent technology of AR.

Besides the taste (personally I like it), what you have to do is just install an AR app on your mobile and take a photo of ad showing "Fit's" logo as start, then you'll see a model on your photo. See below image, sorry for bad quality due to not focused well.

fits2.jpg

As you see above an image, this attempt is quite interesting and amazing especially for her fans because of responding
by jumping or waving her hand once you press a key on your mobile, and works for Japanese mobile phone.

In my opinion, it could actually, be giving external option for better solution and showing the distinction of other AR experimentation such as creating a original message for users or combining with images on your image holders, etc as bringing second wave from people haven't tried, however trying new feature inspires not just us like creators, also for people never tried those new idea, so it helps bringing a huge impact for next promotion definitely.

Just wonder how teens are responding regarding this though, hoping they liked it.
